Job Summary (Purpose of Position)

The Site Engineer is responsible for the on-site execution of DAS installations, ensuring all works comply with approved engineering designs, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

The role acts as the technical link between project planning and physical implementation, supporting successful delivery through supervision, coordination, issue resolution, and readiness for testing, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities
Site Execution and Supervision
  • Supervise on-site DAS installation activities.
  • Ensure implementation follows approved drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor workmanship quality and compliance with standards.
  • Coordinate daily site activities with contractors and technicians.
Technical Compliance and Quality Control
  • Verify installation of antennas, RF cabling, fiber, and active equipment.
  • Ensure correct routing, labeling, grounding, and termination practices.
  • Conduct preliminary site inspections and checklists.
  • Support commissioning and acceptance testing activities.
HSE Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with site HSE regulations and policies.
  • Enforce safe work practices and site discipline.
  • Report safety incidents or non-compliance immediately.
  • Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Coordination and Reporting
  • Coordinate with Project Manager and Implementation Manager.
  • Liaise with building management and site stakeholders.
  • Prepare daily site progress reports.
  • Report technical issues, delays, and risks.
Materials and Logistics Support
  • Verify material delivery and site availability.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of equipment.
  • Identify material shortages or discrepancies.
  • Support inventory tracking at site level.
Authority / Decision-Making / Delegation of Authority
  • Authorized to supervise site-level installation works.
  • Authorized to reject non-compliant workmanship.
  • Recommends corrective actions and technical adjustments.
  • Escalates deviations, risks, or scope changes to the Project Manager.
  • No authority to approve design changes or commercial variations.
  • Acts within approved company DOA and delegated authorities.

Personal Qualifications and Experience
Education
Required Preferred
BSc. in Telecom or Electrical Engineering BSc. in Telecom or Electrical Engineering with PMP or certifications in DAS, RF, fiber optics, or NHO.
Experience
Required Preferred
  • 5–10 years of experience in telecom site engineering or infrastructure deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with DAS or in-building systems.
  • Experience in NHO or multi-operator environments.
  • Experience in high-rise or complex indoor projects.
Specific Skills
Required Preferred
  • Strong understanding of DAS architecture and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of RF, fiber, and SCS installations.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic reporting and documentation skills.
  • Experience managing complex indoor installation environments.
  • Enhanced coordination and site leadership capabilities.
